However, it later changed its name to Jeep and is due to the mispronunciation of General Purpose: Gee Pee.

Jeep is now a division of Chrysler Group. At present the models that are marketed of the brand are (not including their variants): Cherokee, Commander, Compass, Grand Cherokee, Patriot and Wrangler.

Now we will tell you about some of the characteristics of this brand:
-During World War II, Willys-Overland and Ford made 600,000 Jeeps. Hundreds of thousands of these vehicles were shipped to Europe, Africa and the Pacific.
When the first Jeep was created, there was no such thing as what is now known as the 4×4 or all-terrain segment.
The Jeep was conceived as a substitute for the motorcycle used to carry messages between different units of the U.S. Army.
-Jeeps have been built under license by several manufacturers around the world. Mitsubishi, for example, built more than 30 different models between 1953 and 1998.
