Winnebago, a leading U.S. manufacturer of motorhomes and recreational vehicles (RVs), has announced the launch of a zero-emission, all-electric commercial vehicle platform through the Company’s Special Vehicles Division. Also, the company has announced a strategic partnership with Motiv Power Systems, Inc., the U.S. market leader in medium-duty electric vehicle chassis, for the development and supply of electric chassis. As part of the strategic partnership, Winnebago intends to make a financial investment in Motiv, the terms of which have not been disclosed.

All Winnebago Industries commercial vehicles feature an interlocking SuperStructure design that creates a barrier-free interior and allows for maximum customization. Available options include sliding rooms, alternate entry door locations, wheelchair lifts and cargo doors. Other integrated systems may include air conditioning, generators, solar panels, inverters, power backup systems, levelling systems, toilets, showers and other plumbing facilities.
