This is a legendary car you will love to have in your collection.
The Ford Torino is a D-segment automobile produced by the Ford Motor Company for the U.S. market between 1968 and 1976. Initially it was an intermediate-size luxury version of the Ford Fairlane, which Ford USA produced between 1962 and 1970. After 1968, the Fairlane name was retained on base models with lower fit levels than models bearing the Torino name. During this time, the Torino was considered a sub-series of the Fairlane. In 1970 the name Torino had become the main name, and the Fairlane was now a sub-series of the Torino. In 1971 the name Fairlane was completely removed and all models were called Torino.
Most Torino cars were conventional, and generally the most popular models were four-door sedans and four-door hard ceilings. However, Ford produced some high-performance versions of the Torino by equipping them with large, powerful engines, such as the 428 hp (7 L) and 429 hp (7 L) “Cobra-Jet”. These cars are classified as muscle cars. Ford also opted for the Torino as a base for its NASCAR participants, and has a heritage of highly successful races.
