Egon, this reminds me of the time you tried to drill a hole through your head. Remember that? Dr. Peter Venkman
Fantastic Hot Wheels inspired by the Ghostbusters ambulance from the original Ghostbusters movie.
Ecto-1, which was the name given to the ghostbusters’ means of transport, was named after the parapsychological definition of ectoplasm (you know that kind of raw material that ghostbusters are made of). The Ecto-1 is not really a car, but is actually based on a 1959 Cadillac Ambulance made by Miller-Meteor, a classic of the time in the USA. Miller-Meteor launched several models on the market, some of them used as hearse cars and others closer to the needs of ambulances of the time. The Ecto-1 used a chassis that combines both models, in fact for some American towns the combo was the best option since it assured both uses.
