The Dodge Viper Phase SR II, which came out in 1996 with an engine that slightly raised its power figure, specifically up to 415 hp. Under this platform also came the GTS variant, which offered a stronger engine with 456 hp. This was in 1997, leaving for 1998 the appearance of the ACR Package.
The second generation of the Viper, known as Phase ZB, introduced a larger 8.3 litre engine, respecting the V10 architecture. However, it was just over 500 hp, becoming the first variant of this model to complete an acceleration of 0 to 96 km/h in less than four seconds. Specifically, the coupé did it in 3.7, while the Roadster went up to 3.8.
