“For years I thought what was good for our country was good for General Motors and vice versa. The difference did not exist. Our company is too big. It goes with the welfare of the country.” Charles Erwin Wilson.
Buick Riviera is a personal sports car manufactured by Buick under the American firm General Motors. Its production began in 1963 and ended fifty years later, in 1999. It uses GM’s E platform such as the Oldsmobile Toronado or the Cadillac Eldorado. At the end of 1950 General Motors wanted to make a personal sports model that would compete with the successful Ford Thunderbird. The first Riviera was a Cadillac model called XP-715 becoming Buick’s because Cadillac was very successful at the time and had to focus on its models and that a member of the McCann advertising agency, Erickson in an unusual move won and from there it became Buick’s that had fallen sales.
This incredible car is waiting for you, what are you waiting for to join it to your collection?
