This amazing retro-modern collection has been going since 1976 up until now, 2019. It is true that from 1977 to 2006 there was a pause in the expansion of this collection. But, the fact that there are models from 1976 and 1977 is incredible!! I mean, the more retro the better, right?

So this collection has tuns of models with all different varieties. All these models are defined by- as its name gives away- having a chrome effect on the base coat of the paintwork. weather its gold chrome or silver chrome, this makes all the models have a really unique look. Plus, they are taken to the next level with their paintwork detailed designs.

In the case of the retro Super Chromes launched in between 1976 and 1977, you can find them in both Red Lines and Blackwalls. There was also a 6-pack that had six exclusive Super Chrome’s that weren’t in any other collections. Most of these had red, white and blue stars and stripes, so it could have been a collection with designs inspired by U.S.’s Bicentennial celebration.

Now, let’s move on to the more recent models. Trust me, there are plenty: ’68 Dodge Dart, Morris Mini, Ford Mustang Funny Car, ’76 Corvette Stingray, ’70 Chevelle Convertible, Classic Nomad, ’57 Chevy Bel Air, ’65 Pontiac GTO, VW Bug, etc. These are some of the known brands. But, there are also really cool imaginary cars such as: Skull Crusher, Croc Rod, Growler or Salt Shaker.

The most recent of this collection is the Corvette Stingray (1996), this one is a Treasure Hunt (wooo!). Its base is a silver chrome and it has red and blue stripes with white stars on the sides and hood, as well as a “super chromes” and Hot Wheels logo on the sides too. Not to mention its tinted red windows.

Check out this incredible unique collection before someone gets there before you!! While you’re there, take a look at Speed Blur, Spares ‘N Strikes and Rod Squad.
