Below we have a brief description of these four cars that make up this small but wonderful category

The Ice Cream Truck is pretty much what it sounds like; an ice cream truck selling Good Humor ice cream. The truck does resemble some of the trucks that Good Humor used for delivering ice cream to kids. The casting has gone by many names, including Grillionaire, Sweet Streets, Tropicool, Quick Bite or simply Ice Cream Truck. It has also been released as a food truck (“gut truck”), a Mexican food truck, Jamaican food, and Japanese food truck.

The Baja Bug is a Hot Wheels casting based on the Volkswagen Beetle and designed by Larry Wood. The tool debuted in the 1984 Real Riders Series.

The Baja Beetle got its’ name due to the fact that the Baja California Peninsula in northwest Mexico is home to the “Mexican 1000” off-road race. Baja Bugs were developed in the late 1960s as a home-made alternative to the fiberglass-bodied Meyers Manx beach buggies of the time period that excelled in the sandy, hilly terrain.

The ’35 Classic Caddy is a Hot Wheels licensed model designed by Larry Wood. It is modeled after the Cadillac Series 355. The Cadillac Series 355 was manufactured by Cadillac from 1931 to 1935. They were 8-cylinder cars, sold in several models: a 2-door club coupe, a 2-door convertible, 4-door convertible, a 4-door sedan a 4-door town car and a 4-door limousine.

Although it shares the same name as the Custom Corvette from 1968 it is completely different. It is based on the C4 Corvette ZR-1 Convertible.

    The first version

The Hot Wheels version debuted in 1989 and was discontinued in the 1999 Final Run Series, after 11 years in production. Although it was officially discontinued in 1999, in 2000 a strange version similar to the 1998 Tropi-Cool Series (except with no tampos) was released only in Mexico.

If you’ve been left wanting to continue watching exclusive Hot Whels and somewhat difficult to get, access these two more series, the Treasure Hunt Series and the Track Stars Series.
