    Ducati’s emblematic models.

In 1954 Ducati hires Fabio Taglioni, a brilliant designer who with his ideas will give the definitive character to Ducati motorcycles throughout the second half of the century, developing a technology that continues to be used today as the desmodromic valve control system, the twin-cylinder engine and the iconic welded tube chassis.
Among the jewels of the Borgo Panigale company’s production are the 750 GT, with the twin-cylinder engine, the Scrambler, which becomes one of the most successful models, and the Pantah 500.
1993 saw the production of the Monster, the paradigm of the “naked” motorcycle, i.e. motorcycles without superstructures or aerodynamic protections, a model that has inspired many other motorcycles. Since its debut in 2007 its style has remained unchanged and Ducati has produced more than 150,000 copies.
In the same wave of innovation of the 1990s, the Bolognese company produces the ST (sport-tourism) series with motorcycles that are both sporty and comfortable and can be equipped with trunks and suitcases.
Among the most famous multistrada is the Ducati Hypermotard, while among the road sports it is not possible not to mention the Desmosedici RR, the first road bike on the market derived from a racing prototype, as well as the more recent Ducati 1199 Panigale.

    Ducati in the races

Ducati has a team that manages the world’s motorcycle racing competitions. These are Superbike races, in which the company has won 14 world titles, Supersport races (1 title) and Superstock races (3 titles). Ducati also competes in the MotoGP championship, in which it won its first title in 2007.
