It was the first brand able to create a car. Its history began separately; Benz and Daimler created their own company and were competition for some time, Benz held the company called Mannheim Benz&Co (1883) and Gottlieb the company Cannstatt Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (1990). In 1926, Mercedes merged with Benz as a strategy to deal with the economic crisis that affected both companies and were united under the name Daimler-Benz AG, although the name that became popular was Mercedes-Benz. Shortly thereafter, the design of the famous three-pointed silver star logo was created in a circle.
